Screw Pull Wine Opener June 26, 2007 Deam W. Given 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is the hands-down, best wine cork remover in the world. Inexpensive, small and lightweight, it never fails to pull out a cork, even ones that have dried up and stuck in the bottle's necks. It lasts and lasts. I've had one since the 1970s and I've pulled a lot of corks with it over its lifetime.
Easiest and most efficient corkscrew I have used. March 12, 2007 J. Williams (Vancouver, WA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Older arthritic hands appreciate this efficient product which never fails (i.e. leaving part of the cork in the bottle). Easier to use for younger hands as well. The product takes very little drawer storage space.
The last one opened hundreds of bottles March 8, 2009 M. Everton (Baltimore, MD) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After 25 years my original Screwpull finally broke. The previous one opened many hundreds of bottles of wine effortlessly. I have no reason to expect any less of the new one I just got. With fresh teflon on the screw, I now remember how very smooth the old one was when it was new. I have owned several fancier cork screws, but I always came back to this one. If you can only have one corkscrew, I think this is the one. The only drawback is that as it gets older, the corks (particularly the fake ones) can become harder to remove from the screw after extraction. Not a big deal for me, but my wife had some difficulty on occasion.
Great wine opener! November 4, 2007 Strazil (Seattle, WA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
So quick and easy, I can't believe I didn't get one years ago. We've gone through several styles of wine openers, but this is the easiest by far, for the price. If you're going to get something better, it's bound to be the spendier battery-powered models. This one's better for the environment.
Best Corkscrew I know of November 2, 2009 MaxHugo (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a simple corkscrew with no frills or "special effects". It does the job and does it well. You just slide the device over the neck of the bottle, turn the handle and get the corkscrew started, keep turning and the corkscrew removes the cork. (No handles to push down, etc.) Add the Screwpull foil cutter and you have all you need to open that bottle of great wine.
